Community Keynote for the Responsible Recreation Conference

As part of the Responsible Recreation: Pathways, Practices, and Possibilities conference, the Sinixt Confederacy hosted a keynote event focusing on responsible recreation through the lenses of climate and culture. The evening featured Sinixt cultural facilitator Shelly Boyd, outdoor recreation researcher Natalie Knowles, a screening of the film “Beyond Begbie,” and a panel discussion with various experts.

The event was free and open to the public, aiming to foster understanding and dialogue about Indigenous perspectives on land stewardship and recreational practices.
