Everyone is welcome to join the Sinixt Canoe Journey from Revelstoke B.C. to Kettle Falls WA. Paddle with us to Sx̌ʷnítkʷ, building connections not only with the water but with each other. This collective paddle embodies the ongoing revitalization of culture and unity among the Columbia River Tribes. The canoe journey culminates with the Kettle Falls Salmon Ceremony on June 20, 2025.
The First Annual Kettle Falls Canoe Journey was established in 2016 as a collaborative effort designed to breathe new life into the traditional art of Dugout Canoe building while also spotlighting important initiatives like fish passage and the ecological clean up and protection of the Columbia River. Since then, our teams have worked tirelessly to serve as models of cultural revitalization for the Tribes of Columbia River, and we remain more committed than ever to this vital endeavour.
